Scones...

So I decided to shoot things that scream Spill the Beans this evening.  Plus I wanted a few images for the website.  We just recently added scones to our menu, and they have been a huge hit.  I fire off a few shots from several different angles.  Nothing seems to look good.  I really didn't want to have to use a flash, but my available like is minimal.  So I move around until I get this shot only using natural lighting.

I know I'll get asked what I used to shoot this, so here goes.  My Nikon D70 with a AF Nikkor 50mm f1.8 lens.  The camera was set on Aperture priority and I opened it all the way to f/1.8.  The ISO was at 200 and I didn't make any adjustments in post at all.

Mark & Amy

It's a little funny that you guys walked in....

... And then you both come running out?

Thank you Mark and Amy for waiting patiently.  Your pictures are almost done, but thought you might like to have a preview while you wait.

Titus

This is my younger brother who has formed a band called Titus Justus. I shoot any promo stuff he needs done. His first album is scheduled for release this December.

Bob

This is Bob. He belongs to Titus and Kelly. One night while over at Titus and Kelly's place, I decided to shoot some of Bob. We ended up lighting him with a blue light and posing him on this coffee table. While the color picture is very cool as well, I have always liked the b/w version.

Scott & Jennifer's Wedding

This blog is suppose to represent a collection of my best work. Ironically, I mainly shoot weddings, not that you could tell from my blog. So I suppose it would be appropriate to have some of my latest wedding pics.

Scott & Jennifer were married at the Indianapolis Zoo's Botanical Garden. It was such a perfect setting.

Here Scott is patiently waiting for his bride to arrive.

I just love this shot of them all holding hands.

As I was taking pictures of Scott & Jenny, I just happened to turn around and see the father of the bride calmly sitting off to the side. I love his expression.

Not everyone is able make it standing through the whole ceremony.

Morning Shots

Last weekend I decided to wake up early to take some pictures of the moon. So last Saturday @ 5:00 a.m., I gathered my gear together to go chase after some (what I hoped to be) really good shots of the moon. I found out pretty quick that my camera set up does not do it justice. In fact, what was a huge moon in the sky, looked like a spotlight in my camera. Not wanting to waist an early morning, I headed down towards the Wabash River.

As the moon was going down, I was hoping to catch the early morning sun!

During this same shoot, I decided to shoot around our City Court House.
